Size and Repeat Images Thingy

What it is -- what it ain't

This device is for studying graphics. It writes a page to your cache to show your selections. You can not save the page or transload it. It is designed to let you see how a graphic behaves without having to write a test page.

Input boxes -- how to use.

IMAGE:
Will auto load if you use f-key or recents thingy to enter after viewing graphic. Width and height are displayed in the title bar.

You may type or cut and paste the url of the image you wish to study. If you C/C/P, remember to erase what is already there before you paste your url.

Image H and W:
Control the size of the image.

Leave both blank and you will see the image at normal size.

Leave height blank and you will see the image's height sized proportionally to width.

These do not affect the image as background or image as border functions.

BG color:
This is used to make any background color on the image and border functions. If your graphic has a transparent background, BG color will show through.

You may use hexidecimal codes or color names of 6 letters or less, i.e. black, indigo, aqua.

Horizontal & Vertical Repeats:
You must have a number in these inputs. "1" is OK. Don't go wild with big numbers... these inputs multiply by one another... or the out put will take forever to load.

These do not affect image as Background or Left Border functions.

Your usable screen is 544 pixels wide. Image width X Horizontal repeats must <544.

Transparency:
Default set to 0 %. Enter 1 - 99 to see image with transparency. This factor works for image and upper right functions. Some images, especially jpgs, do not respond to transparency attribute.

Grid size and color:
Used to 'print' an image on graph paper. Choose size of grid and color of lines using the selection buttons. Default is grid over image. The first check box will put the image on the grid. The second check box makes the image invisible for printing plain graph paper. Printer options must be set to "print background images". IF MSNTV would read javascript correctly, we could have any combination of grid size and color. Transparency affects this function.

Output functions.

Display Image(s):
Builds a table 'horizontal repeats' cells wide and 'vertical repeats' rows high, with the image displayed in all cells.
Transparency input affects this output.

Image as Background:
Displays full page with image as background. BG color will show through graphics with transparent bakgrounds. Animated gifs should not be used.

Image as Left Border:
Displays image tiled vertically on left, with remainder of page being BG color from input box. Animated gifs should not be used.

Image Upper Right:
Displays image in upper right corner. Image will be size defined in W and H inputs, with remainder of page being BG color from input.
Transparency input affects this output.

Grid on Image:
Displays the image superimposed on a grid. The top of the image will align with the second line from the top. This function supports transparency attribute on the image. Printer options must be set to "Print background Images".
