Using DHTML to Study Interference Patterns

Passing transparent or transluscent objects over one another can cause unusual optical effects; especially if the objects have any type grid or striped attributes.

I have created a table that has alternating cells with color and no color. Each pair of cells is 2px different than the ones next to it.

Take that table and reverse it:

Place the tables end to end and make a continuous marquee of them like this:
View table
Then superimpose the same pair with different movement and you create some very interesting optical effects.

White and clear with No Transparency

Superimposed object going in opposite direction:

Superimposed object going in same direction , but 2 times the speed:

Blue and clear with 70% Transparency

Table placed on white background for Webbies to see. PCs do not 'see' transparency
